The time has come to, once again, bid farewell to a much loved icon of stage and screen. Richard Griffiths, the man who helped make Vernon Dursley as detestably normal as Rowling intended, has died at the age of 65 after complications during heart surgery. Whilst 65 is by no means an adequate age to die for any man, it is especially saddening to have lost such a talented and versatile performer. We will remember him as a fine actor and his legacy will live on in films such as the Harry Potter franchise and Withnail and I. I’m sure I speak for everyone here when I say that we will miss him and that we offer our sincerest condolences to the Griffiths family in this, the most agonising of times.
R.I.P Richard Griffiths
